I am not sure which box it is, i read the first post in this thread and when looking at my box it appears to be the same as the image in the first post. The modulator on my box appears to measure 8 slots from the back but i was unsure due to it being a 2008 model?

Also Can anyone tell me the pin configuration for the RS232 Null cable i need? As i have a few Rs232 cables lying around but will need to check the pin configuration as they are from the machines we sell at work.

Would it also be possible for someone to link me to the .zip file i will need?

Thankyou for any help in advance.
Yours is a MaxV then you've got what we call a black box and yes this guide will work for you.

If you download and install the toolbar from www_thechatterbox.cc, you'll find the firmware for your box

The pin configuration is shown here _http://www.lammertbies.nl/comm/info/RS-232_null_modem.html

The tuner where the cable supply connects should be as long as 8 air vent slots
if you look through the very left hand side air vents about four from the front you should see about 5 green capacitors (you may need a torch)

I'm in Dublin, and the Frequency for LFC.TV here is, 419.000. But I noticed others have it on 418.250 and 418.500. Go to Channel manager, and examine the list of channels,, and at the very end of that list, you might find the channels you are missing, just add them as favs, and they will appear in your Favs list.

Tricky,, first go to channel manager,, scroll to the last page on the list of channels, you might find your missing channels there, I did. Then add them to one of your favs groups. If you have blank channels, E:G channel4, but no signal for it,, go to chan Manager, edit, delete, the blank ones. Worth a try,,

hi guys

for the past few months i have been updating the codes for my box from the tcb.cc toolbar. but yesterday i lost a few channel, just getting a black srceen on some chjannels, so i tried to do a power scan but this doesnt work.

the codes havent rolled so i thought maybe this forum will help.

i soon came across this thread, and i thought it will be a good idea to update the software on my box as i never done it before.

i have read this thread through most pages but i am still confused!

i have ordered a null cable, to connect the box to my laptop via the serial port. i now know i that i have the blue 06 box and that it isnt the copy version. the new unified flash loader 21-04-2008, can be download from the tbc toolbar. BUT I CAN FIND THE DNUPMAN SOFTWARE ANYWARE TO UPLOAD THIS FLASH FILE.

HELP IS REQUIRED ASAP, ANY ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTION WOULD BE GREATFULL

THANKS
