Default Re: Ronsters Guide To Flashing Box For Newbies

Havin a bit of a nightmare trying to flash the Eurovox Max V 2008 (Black Original - not a clone). I've followed all the instructions to the letter here (and many thanks for these - I'd be totally lost without them) but I keep getting a failed message at the end. I have the null modem cable (rs232) and the UFL_MaxV_Kuro3_18_04_08.exe. I tried it on different machines and it doesn't seem to help. :-(

One thing I noticed is when I start the UFL exe and press the download button it comes up and flashes between COM1 and COM3. Then I press Start and select COM1 and it says Waiting for the response of your receiver... so I plug out the power in the box and then put it back in and it starts to send the data. It's displays/flashes 'dnLd' on the box unit itself. It seems to send ok and then at the writing stage, it's gets to about 47secs in and then the 'dnLd' on the box unit changes to Err. I've read that this is common and if you leave it then the UFL message changes to 'Downloading is Successfull'. I leave it for a good length of time and it doesn't change.

Has anybody got this themselves and does anybody have any suggestions as to what I can do next?

Many thanks.

Hi Saltz, you manage to get this sorted? I see from another post you indicate you fixed it with another lead and using a more recent UFL. I've went through 2 leads now and on several different machines. Can you describe how you fixed your box? Was it just another lead? Many thanks.
