Are these settings corrct on my rs232-usb cable

in settings for the rs232-usb what should these settings be are they right?

(com3)

bits per second = 9600
data bits= 8
parity= none
stop bits= 1
flow controll= none

my computer recognises it and says it's ready to use but it does not communicate with the euro box

Is "UFL_MaxV_Kuro3_10_04_08.rar" the fix for Eurovox Max (black box)? Anyone updated it via vista and a usb-rs232 cable. all go ok? I take its just a case of running the exe file?

I'm having a similar problem the new software is only looking to the COM ports but i'm connected via USB does anyone know how to solve this? I assume it's fine to use USB instead of COM ports - i have the ports but they aren't connected.
