Did you open the box and have a look its the only definitive way to tell?

Will use the information in this thread to update my Eurovox box when I receive it next week.

Thanks to all concerned.

Hi there. I have spent a lot of time reading all the posts on this forum. Initially I was getting key updates for my Eurovox Max V. I realised the need to flash the box, so i bought a Null Modem cable. I read all the tutorials, took a deep breath and went for it. Now I have absolutely nothing. Initially, it picked up 18 channels, 2nd scan 9 channels, and now nothing. I've read all the solutions so far provided to other peoples issues and tried them on mine - but to no avail. I'm on N*T in Kildare, I've used the 6887 thing, everything. Am I out of the game ?
I'd love to hear of another "miracle" cure.

Thanks.

Which firmware did you update with? Also a couple of ppl had to re-flash as the first time didn't take properly - go to Menu / Config / System Information, does the date under S/W Ver tally with the firmware date?

Thanks Ronster & Lucky 13,
For some reason my pc will not allow me to open the cdf files. It keeps telling me that Windows doesn't know what programme created it.

Also, the date of the firmware is 18/4/08.

However, I stumbled upon a solution !! Somehow, all my transponder codes were deleted from the box. I read a previous thread and suddenly it made sense to me. I manually inputed the transponder codes and hey presto !! Everything back !!

I'm off to thank the "code poster", but I'm wondering if you guys know how this could have happened ? I didn't notice this problem on any previous thread.

Keep up the good work. Us technophobes would be lost without you !!

There you go ..... another miracle cure

(To open the cdf file, launch the firmware on your PC. Under the Channel Data section browse for the cdf file and click Edit)

If the box is silver with 1 scart socket it is a Eurovox 1, with 2 scart sockets it is a Eurovox 2. Go to www_thechatterbox.cc and install their toolbar. You will find the appropriate update under the Files/Fixes icon (hammer and spanner)
