Hi.
I have just tried to put the latest firmware from BigMaq onto my Eurovox Max and it only shows up COM1, COM2, COM3, and COM4.

I am using a USB-Serial cable to update. How do I go about using this?

Also does anyone have up-to-date CDFs for Teesside area?

hey mate this just happened to , if u read into it a bit more it says it cant detect reciever , im also in teesside and cannot work it out

apparently reading up on the forums the USB to Serial aint that hot at working with Dboxes. Thats why they saying a RS232 lead. IF you dont have a I/O port in the back of your machine you can buy em from flea bay that use a PCI slot. Search Serial PCI, there under a tenner with postage.

shadow dragon, ive bought a 9pin to 25pin lead(as a convertor), i already tried the serial bus with no avail, so you reckon this could be the answer?

i have someting on my laptop that looks as though it will take the plug from the null modem lead but it has a little monitor icon next to it...am i looking at the wrong thing????

yes. that is for an external monitor. go maplins buy a usb to serial lead.plug it in usb slot,go to device manager and it will show what port it is active in.select this comm port in the update software

im gonna use my fathers pc i think his will have one although i havnt checked yet i have the modem lead already so ill give that a try.

I've managed to put the firmware on, just going to do a powerscan now to get all channels.
Hopefully someone will have an up-to-date CDF for NTL Teesside area.
