My friend has a older version of the EuroVox boxes, i think its the 2007 versions. But i have a EuroVox 2008 box.

Can the 08 boxes be clones?

hi,

yes i think there are clones Eurovox 2008 on ebay. here is what i have been told:

1- Original has one screw on each side of the box
Clones have got two screws on each side

2- look through the vent on the casing.
Clones have got several wires linking inside.
Original has the sort of the 'ide' cable that you find in PCs.

3.At the back clones says 'made in Korea'...
original says nothing

Can somebody back this?

Just checked mate, i have one screw on each side and made in Korea is not writen on the back...i didnt check the others.

I've got 2 screws on each side, but no made in korea on the back, and its ide cables inside. On the front of the box it says "maxV" in the middle at the bottom, "eurovox" on the top right, and "DVB" on the bottom right. I'm pretty sure mine isn't a clone, since we have widescreen.

edit: by 2 screws I mean one close to the front and one close to the back, not 2 and 2. Is that what you mean by 1 screw?

edit 2: ...and it came in a white box!
