YOU WILL NEED:

-Correct updated firmware for your eurovox model. (see this forum)
-A Computer with Serial port or USB to Serial Adaptor.
-RS232 NULL Modem cable.
-Eurovox (not connected to tv by rf [if you changed channel])

WHAT TO DO:

-Put your EuroVox into Standby.
-Connect your Eurovox to your Computer using Serial port / adaptor and RS232 Cable.
-Unzip the firmware download for your model.
-Open the .exe file within the unzipped folder.
-Click the UPLOAD button to save your current channel data.
-Select a place to store your channel data. (only temporary)
-Once this process is complete, you should hit the download button in the center of the window. (not channel data)
-This process should take around 150 seconds (2-3 minutes)
-When complete, you should click the download button on the channel data section.
-This will quickly put all of your channels back onto the box.
-When Complete, you should disconnect your computer from the eurovox.
-Press the power button on the remote or box itself.

Congratulations.
Your eurovox should now be re-flashed and should survive.

IMPORTANT BITS:
Please note that upon your first viewing of some channels after this has been complete, the "Please wait... codes updating" message will show. This can last between 15 seconds and 20mins (maybe more). But it will be doing as it says and trust it.
Please note that if you have a cloned box it is likely to become bricked upon reflashing. I hold no responsibility for this.
I hold no liability for any damage or bricking or general harm caused to your box and or property. Thanks.

I had 2 failed messages when I tried it but my box appears to be working OK
Also in full widescreen so the new firmware must have taken despite the messages

weird
