hi ive had my box about a year now (red eurovox )keep seeing all this stuff about flashing and firmware can somebody tell me in simple words wot this actually does and will it stop me having to put the codes in everytime they roll ?

yes it will stop the codes.

you need

your box
the correct firmware update for your particular box
a PC
a rs232 null modem cable

any of the above are not available you will have to get them like the cable, download the fix look at the thread that says Fix for red boxes and d/l to pc.

its easier to do than explain, so dont worry if it seems complicated its not, its pretty user friendly when you see it.

Pop the lead in the back of the box and ure pc, run the software save your channells using the upload button on the bottom right then hit the dowload in the middle of the screen, once its finished download the channel file back to your box using the bottom middle download button and thats it
