As the title says can someone please tell me.

When you have opened the firmware on your pc:

Under Channel Data click upload button and this will do it for you

Connect your box to your pc with the rs232 cable, run UpDnMan or start up a firmware update (don't flash your box though) and click upload. This will save a copy of your cdf file to your computer.
