Default firmware

hi has anyone actually downloaded firmware to there box and has it stopped you having to updating the codes just asking b4 i go to all the bother and where can i get a null cable rs232 from and will i need a adapter ?

Try flebay search for "usb to serial" with out the "'s ... Thee pretty much cheap as chips! ....and as far as everyone is aware of it works! me myself have not yet upgraded hope this helps my mate

it works just fine as long as your box isnt cloned, and when you do it upload your channel list to your pc before downloading the firmware, then download your chanel list back to the box once the firmware is complete. Will save a lot of hassle.

dont think box is cloned brought it about a year ago off ebay how do i no if its cloned i paid a lot of money for it?

Loaded new firmware and all channels cam back up in less then 30 secs
Seems to be working fine
