Default Entering a wromg key on Purpose

I flashed my Eurovox Max V with the new firmware this morning, I want to check if its working but being in a ex telepest area I haven't been able to as they haven't rolled their keys today.
If I was to on purpose enter the wrong keys, would the new firmware update the codes by itself?

How long does it normally take to update the codes, anyone know?

Ignore that last question, I purposefully put a wrong key in and then left it on S*y Sports, updated with the right code within about 4 mins.
Wooooo hooooo!!!

Great, glad it is working for you. I wonder if they will try to beat this new software of if they will give up for a while.

IMO, cable TV is very hardware based in its technology, I dont think theres much they can do without some serious software changes, which would prob mean a recall of all boxes. The problem is the cable backbone, cos its permanantly streaming data theres not a lot you can do. When they devised and install it I dont think they envisioned things like the interwebz and bedroom coders ect.
