Hi can anybody tell me me if i bought the cheapest basic package on Sly and used the Dreambox on it will it recieve all channels.

Will there be any software that i need to install or flash onto it before i use it?

...and is there any programming etc invovled?

Hi You will get whatever the card is paid up for. You can only get what you have paid for, unless you use a card sharing network.

Whats a card sharing network and what other services does Dream Box work with?

Of course its not free

Card share rings require you to pay a subscription (commercial ones) or bring an unusual foreign subscription card to the ring.

Believe it or not a card share network is exactly what it sounds - various subscription cards all linked together via broadband and sharing the keys so everyone can watch everything subscribed to by the ring members.

A DB will open almost any pay satellite service with a card share or a subscription card.

I doubt if anybody would want a Sly card to be honest, Its hardly what you coud call exotic is it

If you had a fully subbed Sly card then maybe someone might let you in but with the basic stuff i doubt anybody would want it
