Ok i ftp sporster image.1x to my sagem 1x box. And now the image hangs after it comes up with boot screen. It goes black with a little white line which just flashes. I have tryed to ifa an image to box with crossover cable with no luck. My lcd screen is damaged so i cant see if ifa is actually started working or not. Although when i do try and ifa and i plug box in it comes on to sporster boot screen and then black screen and hangs this is when i am trying to ifa. I dont have a null cable. Any suggestions
also this is what i did try with no luck: This is what i have done set up network on laptop set to 10mb half saved started Newest IFA SOFTWARE Choose Image(commando 9) click ok clicked ok again plug in box Then box boots and sporster boot screen comes on for about 10seconds then it goes on to a black screen where it does nothing? |

I had to reflash image and use ifa too. After it had finished although i too could be sure if it had. I had to reset the ip address etc and the scan for channels. I had failed to save my services and boquets.

I got my ifa s/w from here. Sounds like your ifa has not flashed properly.

If it hangs on the boot screen with a blinking curser, it's waiting for you to enter an IP address for the box - look at the LCD

My lcd is broken. I was talking about what happens on my tv screen it comes up with sporster boot screen(popcorn) then goes black with a little cursor which flashes. This happens when i am trying to flash box and when i switch back on with out trying to flash. This is reason why i need new image on box.

Sounds like an incomplete flash. If the flash was succesful it should boot upto the point of asking you to scan for new channels. I'd double check the steps your doing or try another image altogether. bigmaq has a few on its site inc commando, and sportster 10

No your getting me confused. I flashed dbox2 with sporster 10 image 1x it completed flash then when dbox rebooted boot screen on tv came up which is got popcorn. Then it goes to a black screen and hangs there.
