There is no reason in the world that you should not be able to. I would have thought that it would have been much more practical to buy a cheapo dish, for the likes of Maplin, and take it to the caravan, it would save you all the trouble of having to climb up to the dish and at the end of the season you would need to replace it for the house satellite. At least you will have a bigger dish than a Sly one if you get one for the van, it would be advantageous to have a bigger dishm, because it will be that much easier to find the satellite with a bigger one and in the rain it will allow you to receive the sat, even if it is not right on the sat.
Very best regards Wez

Whilst possible to do so, as already said, you'd be better off just getting another if you still want sat TV at home.
A sky minidish would do the job, it is small and light. You can put a U-bolt through the bracket and clamp it to a pole of some sort. A small dish is easier to line up to a satellite than a large dish, as a small dish has a wider beamwidth. Robbo ![]() |

I just depends on how little or how much you want to spend. If its down to money then go car booting and pick up a second cheap sly dish. or head of down to liddll and pick up one of there cheapos. If you want ease of use then maplins do a fold away tripod stand that can take a 90cm dish. If space is an issue then you can get of the campin kits from maplins. Very good little dish 39cm. I picked up 28, 19, 13, 5 and 30 west when I played with mine. The receiver that comes with the kit a sl65/12 (now upgraded) was idea for locating satellites as it had an inbuilt sat beep that got louder when you hit the sat. Problem was mine could not be patched.

You can buy a mounting pole from most diy stores and mount it in the jockeywheel clamp , (making sure the legs are down before you remove the wheel asembly). The sly dish will clamp to this easily just make sure youve got line of site to satellite
