Audio on DM 800/8000??
the back on sms dreambox shop shows only dvi interface, now i have an ati radeon graphics card that runs audio with an adapter will dm800/8000 be the same? can't see any other audio outs... optical out looks blank!
Where's hdmi when you need it? |

The audio outs on the 800 are either via scart or via the digital optical output. Ok for those of us with AV amps.

any clues if the 8000 will be the same? because that seems pretty poor for the cost for me...
i'm obviously moaning cos i've got no amp etc.. no way the wife will wear that it's took me a year for the mediacentre!  |

I did here and I might be wrong that the 800hd comes with a special dvi to hdmi lead that carries audio in the box.

Milli, what sort of connection cable do you use for the video and audio output from your ATI card? The problem is that most HDMI input tvs dont have AC3 sound capability and most DVI to HDMI cables dont have the sound conductors connected.

I've got a SapphireHD2600 pro, no effing bundled adapter had to scoure the t'int for this
