hi looking for advice and help
i have got the eurovox max v black box,i have just downloaded firmware ma v kuro3 10-04-08
can someone please help me,what do i need to install this into the box,i know i need rs232 cable but what software do i need to upload the software,and how do i go about uploading it to the box

would be very grateful if someone could guide me on this,as i am a bit dumb when it comes to the tech stuff...LOL

Also would i be right in saying the firmware is to stop you from having to enter a KEY everyday

Yes that is the reason for the firmware. You don't need any software, just run the exe that you have downloaded and click download. It is fully automated.

Just don't forget to upload you TV channel list (it's a cdf file) to your computer to download back to EV after you have installed the new firmware. That will save you reorganising your channels again.

Nah, Gonna try it tomorrow or Sun. Noticed a 9 pin connection in back of computer in college. They are open all weekend. Hopefully it's a null cable I have. Will know soon enough I suppose.

Should not need to panic too much with low chance of key change over weekend. Touch wood!

rarsoft dot com used to do trial version

That will open/unzip the application for you....

You may have to get it from download.com though as the winlabs website was down today.

Haven't got to watch it yet!!

But have been told by them infront of it the Widescreen is finally widescreen and the screens swankier - am surrounded by tekkies here
