Thank you for your reply, but we have already tried this a number of times and it doesn't work. The 8% signal remains on screen.

Anything else we can try?

Are you sure you are scanning on the correct symbol rate also? BTW the Kuro guys said the 8% firmware may work for some but not all people.

I have fixed one or two of the EVs using the 28/04/08 firmware, with the persistent 8% problem, by using a 9Db attenuator in conjunction with the firmware, as per previous 8% problems. I have found that the persistent 8% boxes will work with an attenuator on two firmware revisions, (15/10/07 and 28/04/08). Although as you know the 15/10 doesn't AU so hence use the 28/04/08.

We have looked on Ebay, and there are different types of 9Db attenuators. Which type would you recommend?

Also, how do you use the attenuator in conjunction with the firmware?

The attenuator can be put on the incoming coax, better getting a variable one. Just google beststuff attenutors and you will find what you need for just a few quid. I think Lincsat may also have some you could ask.

You're not allowed to ask for or be given any codes on this forum. Read the rules. Download the toolbar in this thread toolbar and you can get codes there. Much better to update the software on your box and it'll update automatically.
