You will also need a card programmer, if you haven't already got one.
If you haven't got a card programmer you might want to consider getting a Cas 3+ and forgetting the loader card, as this can program most cams, as well as cards, and might be of more use in the future.

you might find the diablo cam better , as more updates now then the old dragon , i dont use cam much as i have a dreambox , and a 1500ci with built in cams . just afew for back but i sold my dragon cam

Thanks. On your advice I have just purchased a new Diablo light Cam for £35. It says it unlocks loads of channels but I have no idea if it has a version number or if it has actually been programmed.

Can you only unlock channels by reprogramming the cam or can you buy a loader cad to unlock?
