nokia dbox - some channels not working

we have a nokia dbox and everything was working fine until last weekend.

now when we try and watch channels such as sky sports just a blank screen appears. channels such as BBC 1 still work but all the sky channels do not. they are there on the list of channels but as i say when you try to view them there is just a blank screen.

when you press ok on the blank screen onto the screen where it tills you the channel and what program is currently on, in the bottom right corner there is a key icon which is not normally on, and which isnt on the bbc channels etc that are working.

i presume this means that the box has been locked in some way??

anybody help??

is there a code for the newcastle-upon-tyne area that will solve my problem??

Hey tommyho1 - had exactly the same problem here in the Midlands. Basically, goto google and search for bigmaq toolbar and install it. It contains updated dbox files and more importantly updated KEYS which is why our boxes stopped working. You need the updated keys in order to get the channels back. Plenty of posts on here about how to so check them out.

Have you turned "parental lock" on accidentally ??

its not about where you live its which provider your with

think he means

ex pure n*t*l

or

ex t*w

or

ex c*w

the keys depend on which of these providers ur area was b4 they merged to become v*m

edit: looks like bristol is ex t*w - im ex n*t*l so i can't help u mate......
