Default Dreambox functionality with Linux Computer

Hello all,

I would dearly love a dreambox but at the moment funds are limited.
Is it possible to set up a linux computer to act in a similar way to a
Dreambox.
I was thinking of setting up my Linux pc with Mythtv and was wondering
if there is a way to set up emu's and cams as per the dreambox. I have searched the internet and there is plenty on Myth tv but I haven't found
anyone who mentions the set up I am planning. I need to be able to open
some of the channels on 13e,19e, and 1w.
Many thanks
westie
