i've been reading this forum non stop since the dbox's went down and the thing that springs to mind is why so images exist with so many different settings.
i understand there are different types of boxes that may require different images why are there so many different images for each box? redarrows has been trying to help me but my box has blade-trinity-v2 on it and he can't help since uses a different image. does this forum advocate one particular image? is any image considered 'the best'? i'm having trouble with my keys although i do know how to enter them but my biggest problem is the picture i have. part of me thinks my cable connection is dodgy because i had all the fta channels coming through fine but now the picture is really wavey. i'm not sure it's the cable because when i go into tuxcommander, for a second or so the picture is perfect and while in the blue edit screens i hear the sound fine, i come out again and the picture goes wavey again. i suspect it's my settings having fiddled around with them. if anyone has any thoughts on the best image to use or can help me get any sort of picture back even on the fts channels it would be appreciated. dmc314 |

The D-box is a Linux based box, all the software is open source. This means that anyone can make an image for them and put in whatever they like. You could make your own image if you wish.
A lot of people then share their work for the benefit of everyone. If everyone stopped sharing their work and all the images dried up, you would soon be complaining ![]()

to be honest, it has crossed my mind that with 'competition' the users will continually have better images available and as such will benefit. i guess it makes sense in that respect it's just difficult to find info on certain images when things go wrong.

They are all based on the CVS, so they have a common base.
