Zafira princess I had the same problem. I gave up in the end and just used another computer which worked first time.

That's my next option,try another pc,if that does'nt work it's the updatting codes manually for life for me.

I had the same thing happen, kept flicking between 3 and 4. I used the null modem cable that came with the blue box and a usb serial cable from maplins.
Tried 3 times and kept gettin the same thing happen. turned it all off, unplugged the usb from side of laptop to another port on the back of the laptop and tried again, worked first time. It said download failed on the pc while the box powered of then said dl succesfull.
