hope to have access soon the private ftp area, do i need to post 5 messages to gain access

I cannot quite get the dbox connected to the pc.

When i test network settings on the dbox it says
DNS Server:
192.168.100.100 is unreachable.

Dbox is set to
IP address 192.168.0.100
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Broadcast 192.168.0.255
Default Gateway 192.168.0.100
DNS Server 192.168.0.2

The PC Local Area Connection is set to
IP Address 192.168.0.100
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway 192.168.0.100
Preferred DNS server 192.168.0.2

TRY THIS!!!.....always works for me

Dbox set to
IP address 192.168.0.151 (Dbox must be 1 higher than LAN)
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Broadcast 192.168.0.255
Default Gateway 192.168.0.150 (this is your LAN!)
DNS Server......blank

The PC Local Area Connection is set to
IP Address 192.168.0.150 (LAN = DNS SERVER! 1 LESS THAN DBOX)
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway...........blank
Preferred DNS server..... blank

remember to dissable virus/spy protection & firewalls reboot pc, reboot Dbox after changing setings.
Best & easiest FTP program is CUTEFTP.........in my opinion

well glad thats been said..

The private fta folder is only accessible after a user has reached
the recommended post limit (set out by forum moderators) before
they can get acccess..

i can access the download section but the cable section just brings up a blank page.
Is this due to me not having enough posts?
