i have a toshiba laptop and and i power it on the screen loads up i can see the toshiba sign and the key telling me to press F2 for setup then suddenly the screen just goes black. Any help

The next thing that your latop would do it try to load the os.

This usually points to a hard drive problem. You may be able to fix with a rebuild of the os but most likely you will need a new hard drive.

The other possibility is the motherboard but seeing as you are seeing some activity my guess would be the hard drive.

Try pressing F2 and see if your hard drive is still recognised in the BIOS, if it is try pressing F8 on boot up and try Safe Mode.

i pressed F2 went to the bios the harddrive shows it shows it working. Any other advice please help any one
