Waiting on Responce from your receiver

hi can anyone help with....
when i click on download i get msg saying receiver not detected i get in the same msg box

com1 com2 com3 com4,so i change to com4 where my receiver is plugged in when i hit ok is says WAITING ON RESPONCE FROM YOUR RECEIVER but nothing happens

please help me!!!!!!!

Are you using the rs232-usb cable? a lot of people have trouble with it including myself so i gave up and brought a pci card which worled a treat

Are you using a standard rs232 serial cable or an rs232 NULL MODEM cable? They look the same but don't work the same.

Yours should be a NULL MODEM cable

hi i bought a cable it has usb connection at one end and 9pin male at other also have cable that has two 9pin female connections at both sides so i pugged one end into box and the other into the male 9pin connection of the USB cable as my computer has only got USB connections

what am i doing wrong

try unplugging your box and plugging it back in
