i get to open the page and get to the keys page in internet explorer, but because its internet explorer i can copy anything in. but if i try opening the ftp in windows explorer it wpnt let me and a message comes up saying an error occured 550 failed to change the directory

or could someone jus tell me when its says 'now open your computer browser' enter in the browser that ftp ip address, what does it mean by open your browser iof its the internet explorer then as ive said above it wont let you copy anytnig in

This error usually means that a time-out has occurred and is caused by an incorrect connection mode. To change the connection mode click the Tools, internet Options, Advanced tab button and under "FTP Options" change the "Connection Mode" from ACTIVE to PASSIVE (or vice versa).

ive tried that same thing/ is there ne other way to get round this or ne way to sort it out without connecting the dbox to the pc

Try getting rid of all virus protection/spy etc & turn off firewalls

Followed RA's guide to the letter. Got updates ready to copy over etc.
Just cant get the computer (windows xp) to talk to the dbox.
Turned firewalls off, changed FTP connection setting to active/passive & vice versa. Ethernet cable works fine but still nowt happening ,just a blank explorer screen ?
Stumped on what to do next ? so close yet so far...........

Ok so ive managed to FTP into my box and ive copied over the nagrarom7 and nagrarom10 files but this doesnt seem to fix my problem. Anybody got any ideas on this? Im going slowly insane without my dbox.
