i have never known a genuine box with a spiky cpu
just put clone software on it i have a clone been running fine now for 14 months

Ok. I have the Clonesafe bin file and thanx Martin F. But if you or anyone else could be definate this is a clone I'd appreciate it.
Is the Clonesafe file just an altered Starview 1 fix file(Not for Clones) and therefore is it safe just in case your box is not a clone.

It has the 13 x 7 vents on the top casing.
At the back it is the same as the one marked on the Clone/Copy pics http://www.freewebs.com/svclones/
On the Power Supply Motherboard it has 7 capacitors not 11. But the green one in the photos is Black on his box.
It has Samsung on the board chip and underneath it has GCR3510CX REV.B followed by 2005.09.05 with "No" extra line underneath.

One thing that throws me is the remote control is the one marked "Latest Remote" in the clone/copy pics. Not the one "1st Gen"
And most of all The heatsink on the Cpu is more similar to the one on the clone/copy box except for that its Gold in colour.

Please can anyone shed some light on the last 2 issues.

just put the clone firmware on the box are update the keys the firmware will work on genuine s/v 1 aswell
what have you been doing to get the box working the 257ee as not auto rolled for a while

Thanx for replying Martin. But I'm trying to fix this for a mate. We're both in Dublin and I fixed my Eurovox with the latest firmware. He however wanted to do the same with his box.
We are up to date with the link you sent me. But are you also saying I could also use the clone firmware? The Clonesafe one as of 18th april on the downloads page.
