Ok i connect my starview to the computer Search for the fix i need and hit download nout happens for about 30 secs then i get download failed any ideas

yes have u followed instructions given closely, u are using starview 1 fix? are u using a p.c. or laptop? and u sure its a null modem cable? and have u correct com port? that about covers it.

im useing the gtrom super 6.00e and trying to use the CryptStar-v1.4-Core400

on my starview 1 but all i get is flash failed after 30 secs it dont even start to download

Hi,
I used the GTrom loader version 4 and had this problem, I tried it from a different PC and then it worked fine. I then tried it again from the original PC and it worked fine. Try shutting down the PC for a little while and try again.

Wierd I know but it worked for me...

Ok il give it a go am i useing the correct firmware and loader tho

Im guessing its the same as the eurovox the power has to be on on the box when flashing???

ive used gtrom 4 and the Crypt Star-view 1[1].4-GenuineOnly flash with a null modem cable on a labby it worked perfect first time.
