PM's no longer require 5 posts

Just a quick pointer that there is no longer a requirement to have 5 posts before you can use the Private Message (PM) system.

However, please not that this is not an invitation to send private and unsolicited support requests to Techwatch staff via PM. This can get you banned, as you should hopefully appreciate when one of the site staff logs on and finds 40 PM's asking for personal help.

Post help requests in the forums, please.

I'll second that one

I have already given someone a 7 day ban to a member for PMing me and asking me questions about something that had already been answered on the forum. If he had bothered to look he would have found the answer

Please don't think that this means you can't PM me, it does not, it just means with me as it does with most of the moderators that you should only PM us if it is justified or if you are invited to If it is a sensitive matter that also won't be a problem

Please remember that anything that is answered on a PM is no help to other people who may have the same problem as you
