Channel Currently Not Available

Hi guys, I'm having the same problem "Channell currently not available" setting one up for a friend. Here's what I've done so far, Maybe someone can tell me where i went wrong:

I put all the frequency and symbol rates manually, ticked them and pressed the blue button.

Then put in the provider codes and pressed ok.

It was still saying "Channell currently not available"

Then went back in to the user installation and did a power scan with yellow button. It said "please wait to delete all channels" and is still doing that now.

What am I doing wrong? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks a million

I take it you didn't back up the Channel Data onto your pc before updating the firmware.

Treat it as if you are setting up a brand new box for the first time as follows:

Menu/Config/Clear Data and if you are asked for a PIN key in 1004. This will delete all channels
Now select FACTORY DEFAULT and select your symbol rate and press OK twice.
Press the right arrow to select FULL SCAN and press OK on the remote and the process will start.

Go and have a cuppa as this will take bout 20 mins

Be a good idea to sort out your FAVs, connect your box back up to your PC and back up your channel data now
