Default Sound issues

Read in other posts that a few people have lost the ability to adjust sound with the remote, well me too,

I've not seen any solution either and was wondering if anyone knows of one ?

I've not flashed my box yet, just updated with bigmaq toolbar manually.

The volume bar shows and moves but the volume itself doesn't, also the mute button deos nothing, The word "Mute" shows but sound is still there.

I've also checked the remote through a camera phone and the light flashes when pressed.

I have a Euro-vox DVB (Blue version I think)

Many thanks in advance

obviously the remote works as there is a volume bar on the screen, have you checked all your connections? ie scart and red and white audio leads? if you dont use the red and white phono leads then try them they might work?

Have you got the scart leads in the correct positions, the scart that feeds the sat output (I think) does not alter the volume although it shows on the screen. Only the t.v scart is altered by the volume.

This could be the other way round but was the same on my older red box.

Ha Ha

Can you believe is was something as simple as that!

I had the scart in the VCR socket not the TV socket (back of the max box) !!!
Sorted now cheers,

I hope this at least helps others as well as making me look daft ! ha

I was the one who looked stupid when I returned it, only to be given a second one with the same fault. Only when playing around did I figure it out, never did tell him there was nothing wrong with the first box.

Mine still does it now (max V), even after the firmware update, think you might just have the leads the correct way round now.
