Jtagging a sammy 2100?

Hi there,

I just got a couple of sammy 2100's and know that they need to be jtagged to get ird and bk. but because i never used a jtag before i just wanted some help with it. i've got a jtag got BKE, sammy debug tool software but don't realy know how to use these piece's of software with my jtag.

any help would be very helpful and much appreciated

Theres a j tag tut in downloads for the sammy, you need mac mot running with both bke and sdt.

Mac Mot is the driver for jtag, need to have that running whiles jtaging

Open bke click on tools then j tag then j tag driver xp/2000/nt, you should then get window with driver loader, then load mac mot and run, if its not there mac mot is in downloads.
Click on tools again then j tag then config 1 and edit to latest byte for your area.

how can we find the latest bytes and also i am in telepest area so when i look i can not see telepest bytes there.

i have a jtag and am just waiting for arrival of my first box.it might be delivered today,hopefully.

i am a cable virgin so go easy on me.

Sammy 2100 doesnt work in telepest mate.

Nearly all are virgin now, but 2100 only work in pure ntl or ex c&w. not in tw.

and i was reading the noobs guide and just assumed that cos they were manufactured for both davic and docsis i would be able to run them here.

i actualy bought two of them from ntl area.now i done further reading some people are saying that theirs run okay and some say they dont run at all and some say they get freeview but no ppv.

can the eeprom on the chip that is used to set netid be rewritten with a different one or if i erased it would i get automatic update with netid and frequency.or would it just automatically update the netid and frequency.

if i am in docsis area and these boxs work in both it seems strange that they cant be programmed or sorted to work.
