isolator/splitter - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

hi,i have swapped the tv/fm isolator at the connection point on the wall for a standard splitter so i con run my modem and eurovox,could this be a problem.has the isolator got somthink inside to protect my modem/eurovox? im new to this so any repley would be welcome.thanks.
