Default null modem cable

null modem cable will not fit on my computer is there another way so i can update my box

If you do not have a serial port on your computer you will need a Serial to USB adapter...check lincsat's site.

or just buy a seriel pci card, i got 1 from pc fair for £1 put it in my vista pc , no problems recognised and installed the drivers for it, not tried it yet though but it is in device manager as installed and working

Yeo i brought a pci card from fleabay and works a treat it was £5:99 in total

There can be problems with the USB-Serial (RS232) adapters, especially with Vista - the best solution is the PCI card.

I wish I could find one,,, for some reason PC W. tell me they dont stock serial cables,, and Maplin are all out of stock,,, I wonder why....

I know I can get on online but just wanted it TODAY !!!

Costa make sure it is a 'null' cable. Sometimes satellite stores and small computer stores stock them.

On the positive you have a greater chance of getting one today with the day only being 6 minutes old.
