If you don't save your channels and carry out the firmware update is it then just the matter of carrying out a manual scan and resetting your favourites?

You should now have the cdf (Channel Definition File) on your pc. Under the Channel Data section if you click browse you should see where you have copied it to.

Now anytime you want to restore this back to your box, connect the box back up to the PC and under the Channel Data click Download and its done.

but remember when channels are moved or new channels arrive they wont be on your cdf, you will need to save the file again.....

Hi all loaded software onto box and hit upload before i disconnected the box form my pc. I re-scanned channels as it just displayed 0000. When i turned the power off and went back to watch channels later the favorites button would not work. On checking in the menu all favorite lists where listed and accessible but only on an individual basis and were out of sync and not in their block categories ( Hope your all with me so far!) so had to manually de-select each favorite in favorite manager and then re-select them again (all very annoying i have to say). Feel as if i have done just one thing wrong in the process that added such an extra amount of hastle!!!
