a friend has a ntl box chipped and had it re-den today

in the eng section it shows an ip address and it has numbers, is this normal when the box is chipped?

Mine says undifined, has talkback been cut of your box, if not you could away for a while.

ffs don't say that. when he starts it, it say talk back is off, about 5 mins later, it says it is on, would that be right?

if it says its on then off then maybe its not fully cut wat model box have you got?

hey. It says it is off at the start and then it says on. His box is a pace box, lang arm 0026 according to the eng section. It has always done that even before it was re-chipped. Any suggestions? Or, any ideas why the ip address is showning? many thanks for your advise in advance.

ps, he is ***** scared having it on. Oh i forgot to say, before it went off last time, it said that the ip address was undefined

Thats what mine says on both boxes...no idea why thats happening id tell him to give talkback another go just in case, u will find pics for most boxes on the bigmaq toolbar.

tell a lie my box in the front room has all 0s as its ip adress.
IF he goes into technical stuff on settings if return path says off then he should be fine.

its well strange. tried to use the bignaq box, however, it gives a error page
