Default Looking for a USB Null Cable Modem

Can anyone please suggest to where to get a USB Null Cable Modem from please.

I only have a laptop and need the USB version

Only one i have found so far is this one on ebay

Item number 290222948372
Would this work?

you can get them at maplins though they are pricey!!! also they are kinda hitty missy depending on the quality
My advice is buy a normal Null modem cable (lincsat has them and he knows his stuff) then find a mate with a pc rather than a laptop

I got mine from here

£2:38 and that included postage, the actual cable was 99p

can you not just use a USB Serial adapter cable or does it have to be a Null Modem Cable to re-flash??

but was wondering about the serial lead.

I totally agree with DB. My windows laptop didn't have a null input either so I did the same thing- purchased a usb/RSA232 and null from ebay. The combo works absolutely fine. My only advice is to ensure that you spend the time installing the USB connector first (should come with a CD) - as you will need the drivers. After that You're set to go. It might be me but when I first tried to flash using this method I couldn't connect to the Vox - I simply changed the com ports on the USB connector to an appropriate one (after reading this forum!) and away it went.
