Is the line coming into your house live? Do you have any subscription with virg*n? Try searching both symbol rates, ie 6887 and 6952

FYI: i connected the coax diretly from the cable point to my tele so it's definately live, i don't have any subscription with virgin, as far as im aware this is a telewest area, and given that have searched on both symbolrates. I have been trying for 2 weeks on the previous firmware revision and have entered the new codes/ downloaded the Bigmaq toolbar etc. i'll try the new firmware

What signal quality are you getting during the scan?

Well if you have no subscription to virgin then your feed can be turned off from the main box at any time.. So if that is the case you can either subscribe to virgin tv, subscribe to virgin internet and bang a two way splitter from the box they put outside ya house or you can get someone in the know to sort you out if you have a mate who works for virgin hehe

Chances are if the new firmware dont sort u out then they have switched your cable feed off..

it stays constant around the 75-100% only occasionally jumping back to the low figures

Download a cdf for your area. They will work if your line is active.
