My eurovox is hooked up to a DVD recorder then out to the TV from the recorder ...also from the Eurovox there is a feed to another TV in a different room via a 10 metre scart ....it all works Ok but for some reason I cannot get sound on the TV unless I have the DVD recorder switched on...this shouldnt be surely ? it should loop through I would think with it off ....I have tried everything I can think off to get round this but no luck so far
any suggestions appreciated

Have seen on other posts where the EV sound wasn't coming through to the tv. The problem in those cases was that peeps had accidentally plugged the scart into the vcr socket instead of the tv on.
Looks like what your trying to do is the prob as you are now using the vcr socket for one of the tvs. |

Thanks for the reply, the DVD is hooked up as per the manual for it.... it doesnt have a tv out scart ....it just has a AV2 DECODER that is for input of whatever, and an AV1 which it says goes to the TV ...(its a LG recorder by the way) tried every combination so far with no luck,so it looks like having to have the recorder switched on permamently....

On mine I have the tv connected to the euro via one of them, and the dvd connected to the euro via a scart lead, and the dvd to the telly with a scart lead. Works perfect on either source . |

Make sure all scarts are connected fully. Maybe one side of the scart is not fully engaged. Also, I don't know which type of scart you're using, but there are (to my limited knowledge) 2 types. A 'Fat one' and a 'thin one'. The Fat one has more pins connected inside, the Thinner one, less. Try a fatter lead and see if that helps.
Also, check your DVD recorders manual to make sure you're connected to the right scarts. Normally one scart is an input & output (usually marked with a <-->), and the other is only an output ( -> ). |
