Default Complete 16 yr old newb

Well I notice that satellites don't recieve Sky channels.. So I was wondering what international channels do you get? Im a complete newb at this I know. I live in London...And what box is the best for a beginner like me? I was looking at DB but I dunoo.. Whats better about the sattelite than a sky?

The digital one is a bit out of date but they will give you an idea of what is easily receivable with fairly basic kit.

As for whats better than sky - almost anything if you ask me

For many of us its the thrill of being able to watch tv from foreign parts, and seeing if you can push the equipment further and further to get something new

I wouldnt recommend a DB to start with - Id suggest buying some cheapish kit and seeing if the hobby interests you - if not then no loss - you havent invested too much money into it, and a simpler box will allow you to get up and running fairly quickly.
