Default Is it possible to Programme a card rather than patch ?

Dear All,

I currently have a non use, non official smart card that in the past was programmed to open inxtc on hotbird.

My question is it possible to blank this card and programme it instead of pacthing my receiver.

If it is possible can you point me to the correct threads on how this is done.

I would have thought it will be the same as the receiver

Thnaks
