Default pace 4010 nit error

i jtag'd a 4010 earlier on,got the ird and bk or i think i did.anyways i have porogrammed a funcard4 open platform,i got chaosv3 and renamed it myflash.i used netid tool and created an inteep with my netid and key selection.i created an exteep using toxic 7.i put my ird in straight not backwards,i put in the bk and the new keys,i justtyped random cam.

flashed them to the funcard.

anyways all i get now is p[ace, then it flickers and i get NIT.i check the eng menu and i can see my frequencies there but, every time i look at the netid it is all garbled up like my netid is 40961 it will be 40901 or 49010 like it is having trouble with updating my netid.

what should i do.anyone?

now its giviong er11 and er12 after restting.

this is being used in a tw area.

they are supposed to be good for tw but,its a case of setting the netid.it either gets screwed up or it dont set.

i am gonna look for this new flash file and see what it says in the eng menu has its been sat there a while now.when i reset the box the netid was****.i can set the frequency manualy.

thanks in advance for any more tips.

You will need to set the net id with a funcard using net id v2 or similar.

i did,i used chaos v3 cos it works on my current box,i put the ird in backwards the same as the one i use now,my bk and the keys for tw in the exteep.i used nteid and i set it to netid for bradford,i put in the key.

i reste the box and i input the frequency,i changed the pin.

so i put all the hex's on my funcard,i actualy tried 2 but,i still get ____ then pace, then nit, followed by er11 and er12.i know its the netid, cos when i turn off and on everything i can go check the eng menu and see the netid is there,it is sometimes similar but, sometimes totaly out.

can i not use jtag to set netid like you can do with samung.

also are these box's usable in telewest area?i was under the impression they was but,i saw a list earlier and it had the pace 4010 only for ntl.yes i bought it off someone who said it was telwest albeit that that card is probably not right.

When you program your card, you dont need the inteep....
Just save your details on toxic with the new public keys in place, available on BigMAQ toolbar, and use the flash for your area..
Program your card as normal m8....
The fix on the toolbar is only for the ATmega cards and opus or titanium ones...
If its a funcard, then just put the updated public keys in the correct places, and u will be sorted

no,i think the prob here is this.in an ntl area these boxs will autoupdate,in tw i have to do it myself, basicly from funcard.so if the netid is not on the card, the box wont know what netid to set,as it cant get it from tw.

also i think that these cant be used in tw,i am not too sure though.

thing is,exc&w apparently have to do it manualy and if they can do it from card then i would have thought i could have, even if the box wasnt usable in tw area.the netid just wont set.should i have the coaxil out when i do it?

I think the problem might be the vir$%n updated software on the box, they used to work with the old ntl epg on them, you used to be able to use 4000 c&w and tw boxes in pure with the old epg,not now , a tw box wont update in c&w or visa versa now, 4010 is both doxis and davic so should work in theory, if you can get net id to set with a card it might update to tw, you cant do it with the cable disconnected though. you could try doing it with libby on a j tag.
