It looks ok mate but you may have issues with getting the usb to rs232 to work ok. Mixed results all round. If you comp. had a serial port out it would have been easier.

iv ordreed bith the usb and the serial one


my current desktop for some reason dont have a serial port but my old pc does so il try that

fingerz crossed it does the job!

Hi mate,

I never had an issue with my old desktop but for the life of me I cannot get my laptop to talk to certain box's. But my new vista desktop works fine. Just give it a go and there are tutorials about if you have any issues.

for some reason even if i put the current codes in it wont, its only ever worked once when i enter it manually


hopefully the firmware update will solve my problemz!!!!

Got a usb to serial off ebay too.. desktop has a serial connection but laptop not and want to use laptop cos pc is upstairs.. save this old guys legs !! Thanks for the link above to the tutorial for changlng com port.
