How can i remove the current dreambox image i have installed?

I'm asuming your running Gemini on a 500 then

You just have to reflash another image to the box using either Dreamup or Flashwizard. Dreamup is suposed to be the safer option of the two although i can't say i have ever had any problem with Flashwizard.

You will be able to get Dreamup from the official Dream Multimedia website

If you google Flashwizard you should be able to find it

Assuming you are talking about the image on flash (may not be a 500) just overwrite it with a new image.

If you are having random trouble with the image, it might be worthwhile installing erase.img on flash before installing a new image. That will clear out any rogue code from the flash memory.

I'm just waiting to see if DMM are going to alter Dreamup so it won't work on Clones

I think there is going to be some interesting times ahead with all this

I have just been delving into the 500 problem and have found that the clone killer is built into the latest cvs so if used by other image makers then they will all kill the clone 500s.

Anyone with a clone 500 knowingly or unknowingly should stick with the older images. There is nothing wrong with the older images anyway.

Hi, Just to say I agree with what Jim said about erasing the old image when flashing a new one, I use dreamup and I always erase the old image before flashing a new one.

Very interesting what you said about the CVS image Jim, seems like DMM have their knives out and who can blame them in all fairness.

Time to put Gemni out of Dreambox Coding. Remove all Gemni images safe or not and boycot them. The are many other good images out there to use. they who kill shall be killed, This community dont need them if they want to play dirty with DMM to sell more boxes like the DB500+. Like i said time to change completely from Gemni
