Default More questions regarding dvb-c

Hi guys,

thanks to a few of you i have my dvb-c card working fine in my pc using progdvd.
I'm obviously only just starting to tinker with it, but i have a few questions:
  1. Do you use yours on a large tv? ie. 32" HD WS LCD?
  2. If so, do you have any image or sound issues, ie.e sluggish images, pixelation etc?
  3. If so, what do you do to combat it? Use a different video renderer? or a different program?
  4. Is it possible to view the HD channels? i.e Sky 1 HD, BBC1 HD
  5. If so, do they reproduce well on a HD 32" tv?
  6. Using the TT 1501-C card, does anybody use the remote control?
Thanks for any replies

Don’t have mine connected to a TV, may be the pixelisation/sluggish image is the codec (video renderer). You need a good one nvidia purevideo decoder is probably the best, try googleing it or one of the torrents sites! The HD channels for me takes a minute or two to settle down – when I start the channel the picture freezes and starts for about 1 minute then works fine. I don’t use the remote. Make sure you have the latest version of directx from micro$oft, in progdvb make sure you are using VMR9 under options/direct show/video renderer, also in there the tv channel is using nvidea decoder or whatever you have, (not the elecard).

Okey dokey, will give that a go, thanks willin (again).
This current build is for the bedroom and will go on a 19" widescreen tft.
But if it takes off well, then i 'may' build one for the living room for the 32" hdtv, but only if i can maintain decent audio-visual quality.
