Remote "Pause" problem

If i press any button on my remote the screen stops and a green pause sign appers in the top right corner.Also this is stopping me with any way of updating; changing channels ect. Any ideas?

I sorry to be flippant and no idea how to fix - but someone posted the other day that puuse button was "gay". I hope your stuck image is not 2 boys together or you will prove that member correct!

I take it you haven't been able to update the firmware yet with your pc. Sounds like something's broken in your remote. You can buy replacements just google Eurovox Remote Control.

If any of your m8s has an updated box, you could copy his box onto yours (look here Copy 1 box to another). And then use the buttons on the box itself to change channels till your new remote arrives.

maybe this will help -

my sister was updating keys, I told her to press blue to exit and save, then 'exit' several times to get back to TV, but everytime she pressed exit it deleted a provider - ie Telepest, and then NTHELL.

Basically the blue key was stuck 'on' (jammed down) and every other key press transmitted as a 'blue' key, no matter what key was pressed.

Just an idea, but have you checked the pause key to see if it is jammed 'on' somehow?? Also, possibly open up the remote and wipe clean the contacts under the keys to see if this helps (if anyone has spilt a drink on it etc). If not, get a new remote on ebay.
