When EV updates does it rearrange all the Favs?

When EV updates does it rearrange all the Favs? as what would be the point of setting all the favs up? and would be really really annoying>

Unforunately, yes. This is very annoying as you then spend the next hour or so fixing the favs with your significent other tutting and shaking her head at you wondering why she didn't marry a man that pays for cable.

If you meant does it arrange the favourites each time the the key rolls and the box autoupdates then the answer is no. It only messes them up when you do a red button update channels.

There does seem to be a problem with the 'autosort' feature of the new firmware.

If you select a single transponder frequency in the installation menu, then do a manual scan (blue button) of that frequency only - all of your favourites lists are then jumbled up - and it is a real pain to have to re-do them every time you update channels.

I have not found a way to turn off this feature - if anyone else is having this problem and has found a solution or a workaround, I would really appreciate hearing about it !!

I realize what you are saying:
when you do a Manual Installation and you do Update Channels, in order to update an existing channel that has changed the frequency, which it looks a way they use to secure the systems. It mess up the Favorites, change their order....

I have to say that this didn't use to happen with the previous Kuro version, it didn't use to change the Favorites. I just hope they will sorted out for the next version.

What I'm doing is to save my channel list, do the manual updated, download the latest channel list and just modify the codes in my previous saved list with the voxer sw, and upload that one again to the EuroVox. I found it takes less time to do this than reorganize the favorites.

Yes you can update channels, but the secret is that when you turn auto-sort off...... now listen very carefully! instead of pressing OK press exit, in other words DO NOT PRESS OK when turning auto-sort off.

auto-sort off, then exit!

I knew there must have been a simple solution. Cheers for the answer - i'll thank you tomorrow when I've had a chance to try it.

Hi not jumping in here as bikin 1 has answer to your question but when you exit out of the menu completely. It will default back to on so you have do this each time you update or manually update a channel .
