Default Messed up flashing?

I have the Eurovox V (Black) I ended up with no movies/sports etc. Yesterday i download the recent firmware and flashed the box.....Now i think i made a huge mistake....When i plugged the box back in after the flashing I get no green light showing on the box. The channels show 0000 and when i try to switch to channel either by using the text or manually via the box it won't move to a channel, just stays on 0000. What have i done wrong? And how do i get things to work? Any help very much appreciated.

it looks like the box have not been scanned, try powerscan
when you flashed the new firmware did you put the backup CDF channel file back into the box

Thanks guys...I may have messed up backing up my cdf as i did not have a tutorial on how to flash the box handy. I saw one on here a day or two ago but i can't find it now. I got confused with the download/upload buttons i think. It did flash ok though cause i got the 'succeful flash' message (or what ever it says)

Is this the correct turorial to follow for power scanning...the one by satsmo?

Thanks for your help thus far.

you could always find a cdf for your area from the sticky at the top of the page...load that using the firmware loader...wait for your box to reset...takes a few seconds, then display should go to 0001..meaning you have channels

Thanks for that game55 and gazlw, unfortunately on this box i am trying to get up and running i do not have a pc handy and my laptop port doesn't accept the null cable. This box is my dear old ma's so i am getting my info here at home then trotting off to my ma's to carry out the info i find here.....I`m sure she will reward me well at chrimbo for the running back and forth I could do what i did to install the new firmware and take her box home with me and flash it from my pc.....But if all i need do is carry out satsmo's instructions for a powerscan then i`ll try that option first. Thanks for your help guys.....Much appreciated.

yes the powerscans looking like your best option. sounds like you just didnt back up your cdf and reload it correctly. the upload saves it to your pc (where you give it a name) then download sends it back after the f/w update. powerscan should sort you out for now though

gazlw one thing mate......i was wondering.....i updated the firmware on my own box using the latest frimware for the black max box.....my ma's is the same box.....I used that same firmware after i had already used it (successfully) on my own box.....would that have any effect can you use the one downloaded firmware to flash more than one box......?? It was just an after thought that this might be a cause of the 0000 also.....Just want to be definite before i go ahead with doing the powerscan...Thanks.

Dastardley.
