Angry Lost With The Starview

Hello everyone. Just need some help.
I brought the star view box a few months ago and as everyone knows the channels have gone down many times recently.

I have downloaded the Bigmaq toolbar and live in peterborough with virgin providing. I guess this is Telewest?

I have inputted the new keys several times without any success. It just constantly keeps updating to the 110% mark. Emu's turned on aswell.

May be I need to update the starview box? Have never updated the box and dont know how to or need to. Is there a tutorial anywhere such as youtube on how to do this?

Is my box a clone? Not sure?

Anything else I need to do to get it working?

Box information
API ver: 4.00
Boot ver: 7.00
7 June 2007

Please Help

Still no success with this.

Ive tried changing the keys as mentioned but it just updates without any channels. emu is on.

I think that i may have a clone and im trying to put the new firmware by sunrise but i keep getting flash failed. why does this keep happening?

I brought a new RS 232 today.

Can anyone please help.

Do i need to update anything else firmware wise?

Correct cable, what fix are you trying to install.

Your area is NOT Telewest your have a choice NTL or C&W for your area. (don't know why)

Imo i would say thats the wrong cable mate.

When your transferring the file to the box how are you doing it?
Load the bin file into the loader,
Make sure the settings are correct,
Hit DOWNLOAD then apply power to the box and it should if the cable is right transfer ,if it doesnt then im not convinved the cable is correct, the null modem cable has different wiring to the rs232 cable,

Also if your inputting keys manually then turn the key emu OFF otherwise it will update with a falsekeyset once youve entered th e new ones.

As i said whats happening is when you have put in the new keys, the emulator is looking for a new key update,so it then updates your new keys with old keys !! and not only that it changes the byte on the key so its wrong hence it wont au,with the emu off the new key you enter then stays put.

To update youll need the null modem cable and the loader (oh and the fix )
