I uploaded the latest software to my starview box. Its is the same as the last version.

Then I got hold of the new keys for my area, added them into the secret menu and stored them. Have done this several times. I go to the channels and they do not update. I o back to the secret menu and find the key data is the old data again.

Can anyone help?

hi doey,
when you put the new key's in you have to save after each key otherwise it reverts back to old keys

Yes i do that.

I enter new keys for 00 then store, then again for 01 and store.

I go out of the menu then back in and the new ones are still there. I then go to a channel and they dont come on. When I go back to the hidden menu the codes are the old ones.

Maybe the keys i have are incorrect, does it make a difference if I am in warrington and the keys i have are for manchester I(about 25 miles away)?

If your in warrington then you need excw keys mate,
You need the cryptstar file on the box and that with the emu on should update,theres no reason why it shouldnt au as the file is working fine,

I presumed the keys were ex C&W but they are just down as C&W on the email i received. What is this Crypster file?

The provider ID is the same for C&W and ex C&W i.e "5c 01". So use the same keys. CryptStar is a fix for genuine starview box.

You say you downloaded the new software to your box what software was it, and why.

Think you need to re-flash,are you receiving FTA channels ie BBC1,2,1TV 1

Yes i can get terrestial only, cant even get Virgin 1.

I downloaded STARVIEW_H20070607_400eE_api because I lost all the channels. Its yhe same software as I downloaded last Feb so I agree with you must be something else. Whats this flash business?
